Homemade Waffles …Easter Brunch! #keepitsimple
With all of the time I’ve been spending at Our Market, hosting holiday dinner at home has become a bit more challenging.
I know I’m not alone though, as many parents are working these days and would still like to host a beautiful holiday get together. Follow along over the next two weeks as I post the recipes for this simple yet delicious menu that the family will love!
Planning ahead is the key to any special meal …especially a successful one!
Today, I will be making the Belgian Waffles and placing them in my freezer.
You will find the recipe below along with a few tips and photos.
I will also get out the large coffee urn and juice dispenser as well as decor that I keep stashed away when not in use. Find a place in your home where you can start to assemble all of the items that you will need to make set up a breeze on Easter Sunday!
Today you may also like to iron the linens and sort through the utensils to be sure everything is polished up and ready to be used.
HOMEMADE BELGIAN WAFFLES
YOU WILL NEED A WAFFLE MAKER FOR THIS RECIPE.
IF YOU USE A LARGE ROUND WAFFLE MACHINE YOU SHOULD END UP WITH EIGHT BEAUTIFUL WAFFLES!

8 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
3 1/2 Cups Milk
1 Cup Canola Oil (Or Vegetable Oil)

Whisk the Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder and Salt.
In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, mix the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Whisk until frothy.
Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and whisk until just blended. Do not over mix!
HEAT YOUR WAFFLE IRON AND WAIT FOR IT TO GET NICE AND HOT!
USE NON-STICK BAKING SPRAY OR OLIVE OIL WITH A PASTRY BRUSH TO PREPARE THE BAKING SURFACE OF THE WAFFLE IRON!
